4 hundred million won was put into building the Suta Buddhist Temple Sungbo Museum within the premises of the Suta Buddhist temple in order to prevent the theft and damaging of national treasure number 745, the Wolinseokbo, which the Suta Buddhist temple possesses. It opened on May 10th, 2005. The Suta Buddhist Temple Sungbo Museum, which has a total construction area of 24.67 pyeong, is equipped with a security alarm system and unmanned observation system. It safekeeps and displayes cultural assets such as the Wolinseokbo, national treasure number 745, Yeongsanhoesangdo, 'Do' tangible cultural asset number 122, Jiwangsiwangdo, 'Do' tangible cultural asset number 123 , Buddhist Goddess of Mercy Statue and the sarira case. The Seongbo Museum held its opening ceremony on April 11th, 2005, celebrating the day that national treasure number 745 (Wolinseokbo) was returned to the Suta Buddhist temple after spending 6 years in the temporary custody of Weoljeung Buddhist temple at Mt. Odae. It is open to the public for viewing.
