Gangwon Hongcheon Ginseng & Hanu Festival

Gangwon Hongcheon Ginseng & Hanu Festival is held every October in Hongcheon, Korea's leading health playground in which clean nature is alive and well. At the festival, you will be able to get your hands on both Hongcheon ginseng as well as agricultural specialty products of Hongcheon. Hongcheon is 85% mountainous, and thus, many clean areas remain preserved beyond human contact. The land used to grow ginseng needs to be left idle for about 10 years after harvest, and Hongcheon’ large clean land available to plant ginseng has given it the fame for the farmland of ginseng. The barren soil and largely varying temperature throughout the day in Hongcheon has made the place ideal to grow ginseng. Come visit the Gangwon Hongcheon Ginseng & Hanu Festival for the opportunity to enjoy colorful events and stage performances and purchase six-year-old Hongcheon ginseng that have achieved nationwide fame and agricultural specialty products that continue to garner the love of consumers at reasonable prices.
