Calligraphy Carving Class
Calligraphy carving means carving text or drawing on wood or other materials. It has a great artistic value, ranking together with poetry, literature, and painting. Generally, calligraphy carving works cannot be made through a short experience course. However, if you book the experience at least 2 to 3 days in advance, you can participate in simple experience classes where parents can make family mottos or doorplates with their children. The experience is about 2 to 3 hours long. Generally, it takes about 2 to 3 days or more to complete a calligraphy carving work including preparation and finishing processes. The calligraphy carving works that participants cannot finish on the day are finished by the calligraphy carving instructors and then sent to their homes within 3 days.
Traditional Tofu Making
The Tradition Tofu Making Experience with the old-fashioned nutty flavor only uses Korean beans and iron-cast pots heated by firewood. The finished traditional tofu is distributed on the spot in generous amounts for the visitors to taste.
Catching Grasshoppers
In Palbong Chamsari Village, you can easily spot grasshopper freely hopping round the rice field in autumn.
The Grasshopper Catching Experience is an experience event designed to promote the clean rice of the Palbong Chamsari Village’s Duck Rice Field, which is produced using an environmentally friendly farming technique. It is a good event in which the whole family can participate and foster a deep bond while adults recall the memories of their childhood and share them with their children. Catching grasshoppers and trying stir-fried grasshoppers is a unique experience and great memory for children growing up in the current era.
Natural Dyeing Class
Natural dyeing involves dying materials in the colors of nature using natural ingredients (plants, animals, minerals). After extracting dyes from natural ingredients, the leftovers are returned to nature. Therefore, it is ecological and pollution-free. In addition, natural dyes are familiar to us and are good for our bodies. Natural dyes have properties that directly benefit our health. You need to book the experience at least 2 to 3 days prior to your desired date. Natural dyeing is a process that takes more than one day. The materials need to be dyed 2 to 3 times. The naturally dyed works that participants cannot finish on the day are finished by the instructors and then sent to their homes within 5 days after cleaning.
Ceramics Experience
If you take part in the Ceramics Experience with the attitude that you are experiencing our unique culture, making good memories, finding the innocence of childhood that you have lost, and promoting art through the experience, it will vitalize the lives around you and brighten your heart. You can try making a unique ceramic piece that you can actually need on a daily basis, going beyond the form. You need to make reservations at least 2 to 3 days in advance. There are also 3-month and 4-month courses available.
Wooden Insect Making
In the program, the participants use hardwood and branches to create insect models. In the process, they can observe the shape of insects, learn the significance of ecology, and experience the joy of crafting. There is an experience class where parents can participate with their children to learn about insects and make insect models. You need to make reservations at least 2 to 3 days in advance, and participants get to keep the artworks that they make on the day.
