The upgrading of your equipment is a vital element of equipping your character. Upgrades boost the base damage and enhancements of items.

They also provide bonuses and improvements. The Blacksmith can sell them to you.

Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Each recycled item adds a level to the upgrade gauge.

Weapons

When a weapon is upgraded, it gets a base damage bonus, as well as an adjustment factor that affects other stats. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the kind of damage a weapon can cause.

In general, it is recommended to upgrade weapon damage first, followed by armor defense, and finally the other secondary stats that are required by your build. Particularly, it is common to see melee druids enhancing their weapon before they upgrade any other gear, as this can increase DPS. This is particularly true for enchantments that can enhance a weapon's stats and damage.

Armor

Item Upgrades let players enhance the base stats of certain pieces of armor, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades can also give additional effects, such as an increase in damage or an enhancement to the appearance of. Item Upgrades can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, loot drop or as quest rewards.

The upgrade of armor can be done by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currencies. Most armor upgrades to the next level following an upgrade. Trinket

A trinket could be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece of jewelry. It could be a necklace or ring. Or, it could be a tiny banner used to mark the lateen yard of a boat. It could also refer to a gilded trinket that is connected to the mast of a boat.

This bizarre trinket is believed to be influencing denizens in this maze by making them more prevalent. At its current level the trinket makes all kinds of mimic Xx more prevalent and gives each floor a Y% chance of having an ebony mimic. Upgrades to this trinket will cost an amount of energy.

At its current level this trinket can increase the total health of the drinkers of healing, waterskins, and wells of health by X% and gives you vision on enemies within Y tiles. This is not a stacking feature with Heightened Senses.

After completing the Mastery Cave After completing the Mastery Cave, you will be able to find Trinkets by beating Monsters and inside chests and crates in Skull Cavern. They aren't found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.

If you have a trinket which requires upgrading then place it in the Anvil to do so. This will create a random impact on the trinket either extending its lifespan or strengthening its effects. You can reuse the Trinket as many times as you want however it will always be able to produce an effect that is new.

You can also upgrade your Trinkets at the Alchemy Station by placing them into a Magical Catalyst. This will cost you 6 energy, but will increase the trinkets power by a tiny amount.
