Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

Now is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful best robot vacuum for the money that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. The most significant innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to recognize objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with images of objects that it encounters, so that you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.

It removes dirt and spills easily and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum in areas you don't want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.

Its design is also a step above the competition with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal to speed up cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in its place instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to capture sand, small gravel and even a bit of grit. Most robots could not achieve this feat. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

The j7+, although not as smart as the Roomba S9 for $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, it's an option for those who require both mopping and vacuum. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.

Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it's sometimes difficult to determine whether they're working until you actually see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than simply clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. These bots also come with a variety of extra features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're costly at full retail but often lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock produces some of our most loved robotic vacuum cleaner comparison vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't disappoint. This is the least expensive model in their auto-empty line. While it may not include some of the luxurious features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent choice when you're willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles such as wall legs and table legs which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a area where most robot vacuums of lower quality fall short. The Q5+'s navigation is superb, with only a few mishaps on walls and corners.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products, can be controlled by just a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, alter your home map, or change the room's label.

If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's in place the process of emptying the bin is simple. It also features an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't essential for most people however it can help you easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design is one of the top in the market however it's quite expensive.

It is a relatively small base station that looks stunning and is easily hidden when not in use. The primary selling point of the station is that it automates many tasks, chores and functions that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robovac that I've used that has done an excellent job of removing debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, meaning it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of your home. It's not able climb stairs as well as competitors, either and it doesn't have a dock that allows the user to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn't provide the same amount of cleaning options available in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those seeking a great all-round robot vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price price.

The eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper and has more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, which provides a better overall vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets, low-pile carpets and even high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, a Anker company is a long-standing leader of producing robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable house cleaning robot of hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a reasonable price. It's easy to setup, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch on and plug in the charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect it to Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock close to an electrical outlet and plenty of room to allow it to move around however.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact It can be placed under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design is less ostentatious in comparison to other models. It features a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It makes use of an integrated map to create a picture of the immovable items in its path. It can remember the things it has cleaned and where it cannot access. If it requires a recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes house cleaning robot where it started.

The elegant G30 isn't without its faults however. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, offers the same battery life and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It has a bigger dust bin, which doesn't require as much emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't require as frequent emptying and it has less trouble with bulky material such as cereal.
