1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the pricier Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've tested. They feature motors that are top of the quality and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. As with other premium iRobot models (including the top choice) they utilize smart mapping technology to design precise floor plans and eliminate household obstacles such as cords and furniture legs. The robots that vacuum and mop also have Carpet Boost, a feature that boosts its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored very well in our tests on bare floors, and they are particularly adept in removing dog hair. However, they do have some flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. For one, the Q5's navigation doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to become entangled in shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate rooms with a lot of people efficiently in our tests. It also doesn't have a camera that can see around corners.

It's still a great deal particularly if your home or office has a lot of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save some money. Additionally, it's quiet and you can use it while you're at work, or school. The only thing it lacks that you won't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. It's also less effective in mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes that don't hold on very well and can't handle dried-on debris. The Q5 does have a self-emptying dock, though. If you need to mop, the mopping pad can be replaced with a wet one in just a few seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming capabilities into a sleek, compact package. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it quick to clean and efficient in dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also has strong suction and self-emptying bin. It's the best robot vacuum cleaner reviews hoover for carpets, though it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mops utilizes sensors to keep away from obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the layout of your home over time to provide more efficient cleaning. The app lets you modify zones and alter the cleaning schedule. Its battery life is average when compared to other models.

When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can instruct it to pull back and extend its mops. This will help prevent cross-contamination. The flex arm can be used to reach under furniture that is low and Best Robot Hoover along baseboards. It doesn't offer the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Professional+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In the course of testing, X30 Ultra was the most efficient robot vacuum/mop which could sweep the entire house with just 66 percent of its battery remaining. It did a good cleaning job on a variety of flooring and rooms with different flooring types, including some area rugs. Its obstacle detection was top-of-the-line and it swiftly eluded fake dog turds, socks, shoes and cables.

It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that is automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is something we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combinations.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

This robot vacuum and mop combination has a sleek, circular design that appears more like a regular Roomba unit than the boxy models from the rivals. It is one of our most attractive robot vacuums. iRobot's latest flagship model also happens to be its smartest model, with features that are cutting-edge like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).

It's also the only robot vacuum cleaner reviews vacuum/mop to score the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our testing. This is thanks to the combination of high-tech sensors including a structured lighting system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mops.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is easy to operate. It comes with an intuitive mobile application interface, and it is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that the X40 still a noisy unit. This could be a concern in the mornings before work or at night when you're trying to fall asleep.

It's also quite expensive but not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally impressive and attractive. It's a dual-purpose vacuum that is very efficient, but it will cost you more and produce more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot mop and vacuum. It has a number of advanced features that will help you forget your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine that is similar to Ecovacs the top of the line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically emptys the bin of the vacuum and fills up the water tank, as well as washes and dries mop pads.

The smart robot uses the combination of LIDAR and structured light to create the floor plan and detect obstacles, and navigates more effectively than some of its premium competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards, though this wasn't 100% reliable in our tests and was often confused with obstructions or power cords.

Its vacuum has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to finish the job. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the vacuum works and alters the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house in accordance with the amount of dirt they are.

For bigger homes, it's worth opting for one that has zone or spot cleaning modes that let you tell the robot to clean one particular area of your home using the app or voice controls. If you have furniture, a stairway mode is also useful. For families that are busy recharge functions and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to continue from where it left off can be very useful.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you would imagine from its price. It does a stellar job vacuuming, picking up 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with a single pad that uses a reciprocating motion, which is cleaner than the other robot mop cleaners we've examined. It's also highly self-sufficient, with a fully-featured application, and a self-emptying base that can be washed.

The iRobot application is designed to guide you through the mapping process which collects information about your floorplan and any "no go" areas you've marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, or to set up the spot-cleaning. You can also use it to prioritize your dirtiest areas for better performance. The app has a range of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.

It can also reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It also has strong 8000 Pascal suction and combs that are intelligent for pet hair. You can also create a spot-cleaner which will thoroughly clean an area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It's good at vacuuming but is more prone to getting caught on low thresholds and is noisier than the other top robot vacuums we've tried. It also has a less user-friendly app and a small base station that isn't able to double as a bin for emptying.robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpg
