It's The Next Big Thing In Item Upgrading

World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as PvE damage and crit chance.

For example an item with the upgrade template that is ending in % will suffer an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item upgrade increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases as the level of the item increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons to provide them with a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment with a slot for them. The item must be at least upgraded to the blue level for a component to be inserted. Upgrade Item components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific type of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using less Upgrade crystals than they would require to reach the same level using standard methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop or obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of the item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their equipment even when they're not sure what will be improved after a reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it is likely that the item upgrader will be obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that can double or even eliminate chances of failure, as well as some upgrades that provide a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the effectiveness of all nodes in the area around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded various ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 whenever you can.

In the final game you'll find that the Best item upgrade way to enhance your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes much faster.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the various Glyphs, and there are also a few rare glyphs to be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs then you have to attach them to your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is best to put Glyphs in key places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is often referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When the player upgrades a piece of equipment it will be replaced by a new item. This means that the same armor piece will become an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a disadvantage, as the item level upgrade can be more expensive even if you do not need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll the upgrade of their item. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it shouldn't be repeated often, as it can waste a lot of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and exits water (or is able to swim like dolphins). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by 10 points. This item is extremely important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of its unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to boost the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense of the base set and weapon upgrades items increase their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an item, it has an opportunity to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to go to its original state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not able to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition the item will lose any gained bonuses, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or reload speed). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that should a weapon gain an increase in its crit chance, the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For example an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements than normal equipment. For example they might require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Whatever the case, players must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade will require the use of different ingredients needed to upgrade.
