This is your chance to own a robot vacuum cleaner ebay vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts of up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most advanced robot to date is the Roomba J7+. Its most significant breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often go through). It's also the first to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across so you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best value robot vacuum robot mop we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills effortlessly leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum bot areas you don't want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop by speaking to it.
Its design is a step above the competition with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robotic rather than a loud, loud one. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying which is great for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ swiftly took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even managed to catch small gravel and sand which other robots aren't able to do. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
The j7+, although not as intelligent as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and it isn't able to clean the stairs, is still an excellent choice for those who want both mopping and vacuum. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and it's sometimes difficult to determine if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. These machines are equipped with a tank of water so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also come with a variety of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and even the capability to dry and wash mopping pads. The downside is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock produces some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not perform to the standards. This is their least expensive auto-empty model. While it doesn't have some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great choice if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like table legs and walls which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is a problem which many robot broom vacuums fail. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few missed corners and along walls.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled with just a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. With the app you can start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.
If you select the Q5+ it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed emptying the bin can be done with relative ease. It features a large LCD screen that is very useful in setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This feature isn't essential for most people however it can help you effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is among the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.
The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is quite compact. The primary selling point of the station is that it automates many tasks, functions and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot clean and charged.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive and efficient, too. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tested that do a really good job of picking up debris on plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs. This means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of your home. It also can't climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a cleaning area for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need an automated vacuum that can do it all.
If you're looking to cut costs or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are many other options on the market. Many eufy models cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive, but offers more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, which provides a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile, and even high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of making robot vacuums that strike the right balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a reasonable price. It's easy to set it up, simply connect one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect your charging dock. The app takes you through the steps needed to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be located close to an outlet that has enough space to move.
The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it will be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is more subtle in comparison to other models. It is sleek with a black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The most important feature that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the method it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. It then returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.
