All-terrain pushchair that provides lightweight durability and great maneuverability. The compact fold using one hand makes it easy to carry. It also stands on its own when folded. The padded seat reclines to a near-flat position, and there's a huge storage bin and canopy. The suitability for newborns is yes and with a separate carrycot (not suitable for sleeping overnight).

Air-filled tyres and a good suspension can handle rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging but you must wait until your baby is six or nine months old for this.

Ickle Bubba Air

This light pushchair made by Ickle Bubba comes with a variety of features that parents will enjoy. It is a travel system, which includes a lie-flat carrycot for infants, a multi-position forward and rear facing pushchair seat as well as a choice of group 0+ car seat, meaning you can get everything in one package.

The XL Air is a really impressive vehicle, and it's easy to understand why it has received so many high marks from customers. It's extremely light - the chassis and wheels weigh just 6.5kg - and it's also super-easy to put together. In fact I was able to complete the entire setup and running in just five minutes, which is pretty impressive considering it included the tying of the fabric to the carrycot!

The only downside is that the handlebar is quite low, which can be a problem for taller parents. However, it's encased with a luxurious leather-like material that is soft and comfy and wipes down easily, meaning it's still a breeze to push with bags and children on your hands!

The Runner is for parents who love to explore and are always on the move. The large pneumatic wheels are able to be used on forest and field trails. The front wheel can be locked and can be rotated to increase the flexibility. The stroller comes with a 5-point safety harness with a front bar to keep your child safe on all trips. The parking brake will keep the stroller stationary while you rest. The seat can be repositioned to lay down and the canopy can be opened to allow for maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to accommodate mum or dad.

Whether you're going for short jogs or a hike that lasts a while The Runner is ready to accompany you on your journeys with a fully-flat lie-flat seat and suspension air wheels that promise an unhurried ride. The front wheel can be locked to provide more stability on narrow streets and congested sidewalks and the stroller folds easily to fit into car boot spaces and storage areas.

Some parents have found the Runner 2 to be a bit more difficult to maneuver than its predecessor, and the locking system is less user-friendly (requiring two buttons on the opposite side of the push bar). It's the newest and most expensive addition to their bargain lightweight stroller line. It, like the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo it's car seat-compatible which means you can use it from birth (the carrycot folds away).

The new Pace features some stunning design features, like a rose-gold tint on the chassis, hood, and stroller trims that truly distinguish it from. The stroller and car seat fabrics are stylish in tan, grey, and cream. You can also add a leather handle and bumper bar to match.

It's suitable from birth to a max weight of 22kg and the stroller seat converts easily from the carrycot into the 2-in-1 reversible mode. It can be facing the parent or the world. The stroller seat has various lie-back positions, soft padded legs rests, and an extendable sun canopy with hidden zip sections and a transparent flap, and a retractable visor.

What's more, when it's folded, the Pace is 56 32 x 43 cm which is enough to qualify as hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair among other airlines. It's also a breeze to collapse, with two buttons on either side of the handlebar that just need to be pressed in and then pop out.

I put it to the test with my two kids - one a toddler and another eight-week-old - on the rocky roads, grassy woodland walks and even cobblestones.

The wheels that are puncture-proof are large in size - 22cm and a whopping 30cm - so they can cope with lots of different terrains. They also have an easy flap that opens or closes to let more air to circulate when you require it, which is a nice addition. It's a bit bigger than other three wheeler pushchairs, but it doesn't feel bulky or heavy when you push it across bumpy surfaces.

The fabric of the seat is machine washable and the frame and faux leather grips are simple to clean. It is also quieter than other pushchairs, and I felt at ease with it on busy city streets. Another benefit is that it has integrated accessory points, which means you can put in footmuffs, parasols, changing bags and even a snack tray. You can also use the hood to block out rain and wind, though it's not particularly waterproof. It's a single stroller, however, you can also attach their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child more leg room. The bassinet took 20 minutes to put together, and it took the same amount of time to transform it into a seat.
